We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist to support our Technical Support team with a focus on troubleshooting and investigating issues related to Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) assays and reagents. The successful candidate will perform non-routine laboratory experiments to implement new technologies or investigate scientific questions relevant to customer complaints and product performance.
This role requires strong scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct hands-on laboratory investigations to resolve technical issues with PCR-based products.
Design, plan, and execute experiments to support troubleshooting efforts or R&D project goals.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, applying sound scientific principles and deductive reasoning.
Document findings accurately in reports and effectively communicate results through written summaries and presentations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Technical Support teams to drive resolution of product-related issues.
Manage multiple investigations or projects simultaneously by establishing priorities and timelines.
Prepare internal project updates and comprehensive status reports; escalate significant findings as needed.
Ensure compliance with internal safety protocols and external regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA).
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry or general laboratory experience.
Strong understanding of PCR technology and molecular biology techniques.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to present complex scientific data to non-scientific stakeholders.
Experience working within a regulated laboratory environment is a plus.
Proven track record of solving complex technical problems using scientific methods.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with troubleshooting assay/reagent performance issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage projects under tight deadlines.
