Description What You Will Do

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, ranging from chemistry and hematology to immunologyensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Evaluate results meticulously for accuracy, diagnose issues, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Help with the collection of specimens and adequately prepare samples for subsequent testing as required.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all procedures, assist in training new staff members or students, and support the rigor of lab quality standards.
• Promote a tidy, safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation protocols.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, coupled with eligibility for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of current certification is expected throughout tenure.
