Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II, also referred to as a Medical Technologist (Med Tech). The Clinical Lab Scientist II (CLS II) requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. They play an important role in the diagnostic process, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment. This position is on a part-time basis
Shift's Available: Part-Time, M-F and alternating weekends

Licensed Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) or Medical Technologists (MT) with no prior experience (new graduates) are encouraged to apply. This can be an entry-level position classified as CLS I with no experience
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions, this may include routine tests as well as specialized tests
- Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, you may also calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems
- Ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements
- Perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
ASCP certification, or equivalent required. Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience. Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489). Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
