Scientist

Pay rate: $20 - $25/hr.

Industry: Pharmaceutical

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine wet lab experimental protocols.
• Maintain, freeze, thaw, and passage cultured cells, especially stem cells.
• Record experimental setups, follow SOPs, and maintain data quality logs.
• Communicate efficiently with colleagues and management.
• Assist in media preparation and reagent aliquoting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or Biochemistry.
• 2-3 years of significant tissue culture experience (or Masters with at least 1 year).
• Proficient in cell culture techniques: maintenance, freezing, thawing, passaging.
• Experience with biochemistry methods: Western blot, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry.
• Skilled in molecular biology techniques: RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, RT-qPCR.
• Familiarity with basic wet lab procedures and lab equipment.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience with stem cell reprogramming, maintenance, and differentiation.
• Knowledge or experience in CRISPR gene editing and lentivirus production/transduction.
