Position: Radiochemist I/II

Join a specialized production team creating calibration standards, check sources, and performance evaluation samples used in critical nuclear and radiochemistry applications. This role blends hands-on wet chemistry, nuclear counting methods, and quality system compliance in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture calibration standards, check sources, and mixed isotope batches.
Perform gas and solution calibrations, review and sign Certificates of Calibration.
Maintain lab equipment, inventories, and order supplies.
Plan and execute quarterly performance testing programs.
Inspect incoming radioactive material and perform QC-related measurements.
Support ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17043 compliance.
Handle collection, consolidation, and safe management of radioactive waste.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related discipline OR 5 years relevant radiochemistry/standards prep experience.
Minimum 3 years combined experience in wet radiochemistry and nuclear counting methodology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and nuclear data software.
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow Good Laboratory Practices.
Skilled in data evaluation, problem-solving, and technical documentation.
Comfort working with open radioactive materials; familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.
