Join a specialized production team creating calibration standards, check sources, and performance evaluation samples used in critical nuclear and radiochemistry applications. This role blends hands-on wet chemistry, nuclear counting methods, and quality system compliance in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture calibration standards, check sources, and mixed isotope batches.

  • Perform gas and solution calibrations, review and sign Certificates of Calibration.

  • Maintain lab equipment, inventories, and order supplies.

  • Plan and execute quarterly performance testing programs.

  • Inspect incoming radioactive material and perform QC-related measurements.

  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17043 compliance.

  • Handle collection, consolidation, and safe management of radioactive waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related discipline OR 5 years relevant radiochemistry/standards prep experience.

  • Minimum 3 years combined experience in wet radiochemistry and nuclear counting methodology.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and nuclear data software.

  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow Good Laboratory Practices.

  • Skilled in data evaluation, problem-solving, and technical documentation.

  • Comfort working with open radioactive materials; familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.
