Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Chemist to engage in the day-to-day laboratory operations, analyzing Quality Control Samples including Raw Material, In-Process, Finished Product, Stability, Validation, and Special Samples. The Chemist will ensure approved test methods are followed and maintain proper records of analyses. They will support the QA/QC organization by aiding investigations of laboratory testing issues, utilizing problem-solving skills, and recommending potential solutions. The role involves developing standard operating procedures and test methods used in a laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze Quality Control Samples, including Raw Material, In-Process, Finished Product, Stability, Validation, and Special Samples.
Develop standard operating procedures and laboratory testing methods.
Ensure adherence to approved test methods and proper documentation of laboratory raw data.
Plan and respond to the analytical needs of the laboratory to meet manufacturing deadlines.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Assist with weekly laboratory supply and reagent inventory.
Qualifications
BA / BS in a related scientific field such as biology, chemistry, microbiology, or biochemistry.
Experience
3+ years laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory.
Skills
Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six-Sigma.
Proficiency in the execution of laboratory SOPs related to instrument use, sample analysis, document control, and safety protocols.
Basic computer skills required.
Additional Requirements
Ability to pass a DEA background check.
