Job DescriptionEurofins PSS is seeking a Formulation Process Development Scientist to join our team supporting solid dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing and characterization. The successful candidate will contribute to drug product development by executing manufacturing processes, analyzing product performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct solid dosage manufacturing studies using unit operations such as direct compression, roller compaction, high shear mixing, and fluid bed granulation.
- Set and optimize process parameters to ensure batch consistency and quality.
- Characterize product attributes, including flow properties, particle size distribution, and other critical quality metrics.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to ensure timely project progression.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and deviations in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support formulation development and scale-up activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing unit operations is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis; experience with Python for mathematical modeling or machine learning is a strong plus.
- Ability to interpret analytical data and draw scientifically sound conclusions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to frequently lift equipment weighing between 1530 lbs
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or Materials Science with 1 to 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience with large data analytics, Pytho,n and mathematical modeling preferred.
- Position is full-time, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Overtime as needed.
