Job summary

The Primary Engineer will be designing, developing and testing sterile barrier packaging systems for J&J Medtech at Ethicon Inc. This role will support both New Product Development and Lifecycle Management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes key engineering assignments while solving unique and/or critical problems that have a direct impact to customer health, customer service, quality, and/or compliance.
  • Participates in projects related to brand maintenance, capacity expansion, cost saving initiatives, supply chain reliability, innovation, and packaging material sustainability.
  • Determines and coordinates functional package performance testing to ensure end-to-end product quality and package sterile integrity.
  • Comprehends industry standards and delivers packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate guidelines.
  • Provides a general understanding of packaging equipment and validation processes for sterile medical device packaging.
  • Continually evaluates new packaging solutions and alternatives to improve operating efficiency, generate market differentiators and add sources of revenue.
  • Promotes and champions the highest standards of integrity and ethics, supporting compliance-related initiatives and activities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Package Engineering or other Technical Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 0-2 years Experience
  • Attention to detail with ability to work with minimal direction and with a high degree of concentration for several hours at a time.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC with Microsoft Office applications is vital

Other:

  • Expected to work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
  • Must be physically present in the Raritan office 3 days per week
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$63,000-$102,350

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
