Position Summary:

The Process Engineer will design and implement systems and equipment procedures using manufacturing facilities. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to apply their technical background in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining laboratory and production processes, contributing directly to our innovation and quality goals This position will also support the functions of the R&D - Optical Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing and laboratory processes.
  • Conduct experiments and collect data to support process optimization.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation.
  • Meets required ISO 9001:2015 standards and necessary training based on the relevant Quality Objectives.

Requirements

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Optics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience (internships or academic lab work welcome).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on lab experience with process development or experimental setups.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and technical reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Optics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with lab safety protocols and documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing or scale-up processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel: Negligible.

Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, speak, hear, see, and perform repetitive motion (data entry). Occasionally required to lift or carry (10 lb. minimum). Reasonable accommodations will be made available if applicable.

Salary Description

$75,000 - $95,000
