The Research Associate performs independent research activities requiring an advanced level of knowledge in a field of biomedical science, molecular experimental experience and computational biology skills. Prepares proposals for funding agencies, operations of research equipment. Trains students and other lab/field personnel in research.

Salary: $4,166.67 monthly

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in biomedical areas.

  • Two years of related experience in specialized and relevant field of research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Three or more years of molecular lab experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Molecular biology skills and genomic data analysis.

Responsibilities

Biomedical Researc h

  • Work with clinicians to collect human samples and perform animal experiments.

  • Develop protocol and analysis pipelines for cell-free DNA collection and bisulfite sequencing.

Biostatistical Data Analysis

  • Performs experimental design and data analysis of biochemical experiments and human clinical studies.

Scientific Reports

  • Writes project reports, scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and presents posters and oral presentations in conferences.

  • Prepares data for charts, figures and slides for manuscripts or scientific meetings.

Participation

  • Participates in weekly group meetings within the center and other departments.

  • Participate in joint projects involving the laboratory team.

Maintenance

  • Maintains core equipment and supplies.

  • Performs data management.

Training

  • Trains undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
