As a Laboratory Technician, you'll be responsible for collecting, preparing, and analyzing water samples from critical locations throughout the drinking water distribution system. Your work will include bacteriological testing and compliance monitoring as required by regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in biology, chemistry or related field.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

Requires a driver's license and a driving record in compliance with the City Driving Standards .

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this position requires a minimum of one year of related, full-time equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred software skills include Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access.
