We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Wetland Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:
Botany: Identify and document wetland plant species. Offer guidance on aquatic species that enhance water quality treatment.
Biogeochemistry: Use understanding of chemical coagulation techniques to improve nutrient removal from surface waters.
Wetland Treatment: Support the design, implementation, and upkeep of artificially constructed water quality treatment wetlands.
If you enjoy some fieldwork, have a hands-on approach to your work, and are passionate about wetland treatment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Wetland Design and Maintenance.Leverage coagulation chemistry to assist in designing, overseeing the implementation, and maintaining constructed water quality treatment wetlands.Ecosystem Monitoring:Assess the health of wetland ecosystems.Plant Species Identification:Identify and document wetland plant species.Collaboration:Collaborate with team members to create and execute wetland management plans.Qualifications:A Master's or PhD degree in a related field is preferred.Possesses demonstrated expertise or education in coagulation chemistry and has experience with wetlands.Comprehensive knowledge of wetland plant species.Enjoyment of field visits and a hands-on approach to work.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
