Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Specialist to support our manufacturing site's QC operations. This contract role plays a key part in ensuring the timely testing and release of high-quality products, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. Working closely with the QC Manager, the successful candidate will perform analytical testing, equipment calibration, documentation, and support continuous improvement within our Quality Management System (QMS). Experience in pharmaceutical and/or radiopharmaceutical environments is highly . Key Responsibilities: Perform QC testing and inspection on finished products and incoming materials per established protocols. Assist in method development, validation, and equipment calibration (balances, pipettes, refrigerators, etc.). Maintain inventory and usage logs for QC materials and consumables. Participate in documentation activities, including authoring and revising SOPs. Support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and non-conformance tracking. Maintain accurate and organized records of QC activities in alignment with GMP standards. Identify and recommend process improvements in QC workflows. Perform additional duties as assigned by the QC Manager. Required Qualifications: B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field. 2-3 years of QC experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment; radiopharma . Strong hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (e.g., balances, pipettes, HPLC). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a lab/manufacturing setting. Skills & Experience: Experience with radioactivity-measuring equipment (e.g., gamma counters, dose calibrators, scintillation analyzers). Familiarity with LIMS or electronic document management systems. Strong knowledge of cGMP practices and regulatory requirements. Problem-solving mindset with mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting. Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. May be asked to support occasional off-hours or weekend work based on project needs and mutual agreement.
