Location: Washington, NJ
Pay Rate: $22.75/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | 100% Onsite
Start Date: August 18, 2025 | End Date: February 20, 2026
This is a 6-month contract with Possible Extension or Direct Hire. Benefits available.
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician I to support quality control testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods in a regulated laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent chemistry or chemical engineering graduates looking to launch their careers, or for professionals with up to three years of laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Calculate and document results accurately on worksheets, reports, and in LIMS.
Interpret and review test results; escalate questionable outcomes to lab supervision.
Participate in hazardous waste management, including proper labeling and spill response.
Adhere to all plant and lab safety protocols and contribute to site EHS initiatives.
Support other quality and lab-related tasks to ensure smooth plant operations.
Flexibility to work assigned shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
0-3 years of laboratory experience (GMP environment preferred).
Familiarity with wet chemistry and analytical lab equipment.
Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, RCMS, or EFfCI standards is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with SAP and LabWare is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Additional Details:
This is a 100% onsite role based in Washington, NJ.
A drug screening is required prior to starting.
No additional medical exams required.
Recent graduates with no experience (within the past 12 months) are encouraged to apply!
