We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Chemistry Lab Technician with at least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience to support our R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will be proficient in analytical testing, familiar with polymer chemistry, and comfortable working with a variety of lab instruments and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing using pre-qualified methods to support R&D, engineering studies, and manufacturing validation.
  • Conduct testing for extrusion insourcing projects and supplier quality control initiatives.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as:
    • Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)
    • Karl Fischer moisture analyzer
    • Melt flow index testers
    • Viscosity measurement tools (e.g., Polyvisc, Cannon)
  • Support new vendor qualification testing, including temperature variation and material behavior studies.
  • Accurately document test results and ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and chemists to execute test plans and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
  • Participate in team meetings to align on testing priorities and project timelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
  • 13 years of laboratory experience (academic or industry).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely.
  • Willingness to learn and work with specialized instruments and techniques.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with analytical instruments such as GPC, FTIR, or LC-MS.
  • Familiarity with polymer testing, viscosity, and moisture analysis.
  • Exposure to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Understanding of ISO, GMP, or other quality standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
