THE WORK
You will be the Quality Control Specialist for the Palm Beach Quality team. Our team is responsible for the Quality Management System and product conformity of low-volume, high mix incoming and manufactured electrical and mechanical products for underseas products.
As the Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for review, development and execution of inspections for buy commercial off the shelf and fabricated supplier parts; as well as make electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical and mechanical products to identify defects, irregularities, and non-conformities
Verify product compliance with specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement effective inspection plans and procedures to ensure quality control
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and improve processes
Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities

Strong knowledge of quality control principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS9100, J-STD-001, IPC-620)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment, such as FAROs, calipers, micrometers, and multimeters
High school diploma or equivalent Experience with lean manufacturing principles and techniques
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including circuit analysis and mechanical design
Familiarity with quality control software and systems, such as SAP, Solumina or similar platforms
