Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled scientist contractor with significant experience in transient transfection of mammalian cell lines, in vitro mammalian cell assays, cell line construction, and detailed scientific report writing in compliance with ALCOA+ standards. This contractor role is ideal for an industrious, detail-oriented scientist seeking to contribute expertise in mammalian cell engineering and assay development to support drug discovery and biotherapeutic projects at the cutting edge of pharmaceutical research. Responsibilities
- Perform and optimize transient transfection protocols in mammalian cell lines such as HEK293, CHO, and other relevant models.
- Design and execute a variety of in vitro assays to support cell line characterization, functional validation, and process development.
- Construct stable and clonal mammalian cell lines for candidate evaluation, including vector construction, cloning, single cell selection, screening, and cell banking.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and scale mammalian cell cultures for both small- and midscale applications.
- Precisely document all work in alignment with ALCOA+ principles for regulatory and quality compliance.
- Generate comprehensive study reports, experimental protocols, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- MS or PhD or equivalent experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in transient transfection and cell line construction in an industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of in vitro cellular assays (ELISA, cytotoxicity, FACS, etc.) and routine sterile cell culture methods.
- Strong scientific writing and documentation skills, with practical familiarity with ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
- Proficiency in analyzing and presenting complex data, with attention to accuracy and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in parallel within tight timelines.
- Experience with all aspects of mammalian cell culture and multiple assay types.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cell bank manufacturing and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
