The SCALE initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning , housed at Stanford Graduate School of Education is seeking a Senior Research Associate to work in the Generative AI in Education Hub. The SCALE initiative works to equalize and improve educational opportunities for students by supporting implementation of the most promising educational practices. One such project is the recently started GenAI in Education Hub aiming to be the trusted source for education leaders on generative AI for what works to benefit student learning at scale. This position will provide data management support for the research projects within the GenAI in Education Hub.
This position is a 1-year fixed term appointment that may be renewed based on performance and funding. This position is eligible for a remote work agreement and travel is required for convenings and events. What Youll Do:
The Senior Research Associate will work closely with the Faculty Lead, Director of Research and Director of the Hub.They will take the lead in developing and leading key research projects. This
position requires independent work as well as collaboration with the education policy initiative team. The Senior Research Associate leads data collection and analysis efforts, develops research designs, manages research associates, writes and/or proofreads academic papers, reports, presentations, and grant proposals and reports.

Advanced degree in education, policy, economics, sociology, psychology, or a related field and five years of relevant experience in education or social policy research. PhD, 2-3 years of research experience post PhD, and experience working in research-practice partnerships preferred.

The expected pay range for this position is $115,000-$130,000. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
