20% Design experiments to evaluate and quantify ocular energy metabolism.
10% Be familiar with research literature on ocular metabolism.
20% Rigorously interpret the significance of the findings.
20% Perform several types of biochemical assays of energy metabolism on ocular tissues.
10% Help to maintain laboratory equipment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 years of experience in a biochemical research lab, OR Equivalent combination of education/experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to operate BaroFuse microfluidics oximetry apparatus.
Ability to design and interpret Barofuse oximetry experiments.
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot a Barofuse oximetry apparatus.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to analyze oximetry data, interpret it and evaluate statistical significance.
Ability to present and interpret findings from oximetry measurements.
