Pay: $38/hr. - $43/hr.

Job Description:

• B.S or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other physical sciences.
• Familiarity with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation.
• Mass spectrometry data interpretation.
• Familiarity with protein structure.
• The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Protein Open-Access LC/MS platform and collaborating on mass spectrometry-based protein characterization efforts and biological assay development.
• The selected candidate should have familiarity with liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry instrumentation, and excellent sample preparation skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory automation is desired but not required.
• The scientist will be expected to consistently work on multiple projects in parallel and be able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
• In addition, this individual must be highly self-motivated, able to work independently in their area of expertise, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, must be an outstanding team player and possess excellent communication skills.
• A B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other physical sciences is desired.
