Description

The Research Scientist/Engineer will work alongside a multidisciplinary development project team, responsible for ensuring that the in vitro diagnostic system meets its intended goals. The person in this role can develop, optimize, and validate assays for an in-vitro diagnostic system.

This role will support the development project team by designing and building prototype assays, and testing raw materials in-process reagents, and on-market material to support development and transfer of the next generate assays to the manufacturing process.

Executing feasibility/DOE studies through either protocols or INVs

Contriving challenging samples, as needed with support from others (dilution or heparin spiked) - WB handling

Data analysis and result communication (presentations, reports, INVs)

Mixing/prepping reagents

Collaborate on use of non-TEG assays to compare abciximab/abcixiRel (Ebbies lab)

Prototyping/building R&D cartridges for equivalency and precision evaluations

Executing test protocols on TEG (WB handling)

Data analysis and result communication (presentations, reports, INVs)

Mixing/prepping reagents

Prototyping/building R&D cartridges for equivalency and precision evaluations

Executing test protocols on TEG, including possibly TEG 5000 (WB handling)

Data analysis and result communication (presentations, reports, INVs)

As needed, assist in preparing cartridges

Execute running tests and recording results

Collaborate and assist with general household tasks as all team members do in keeping the laboratory running smoothly, safely and appropriately stocked

Ability to troubleshoot processes and test failures as needed to complete the task, but not expecting this role to take on investigation/root cause analysis/larger TEG product level troubleshooting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Lab experiences handling Chemicals and Blood, min 2-3 years

Experience with Bio hazards, Wet Chemistry and Wet lab experience

Strong analytical skills

Strong reporting skills, data management skills and problem solving skills

1-2 years of experience creating and analyzing an experience

Experience using Microsoft suite

Solid statistical experience

Team work/Collaborative skills and mind set

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
