- Lead the technology transfer and setup of the pyrophoric iron production line.
- Oversee process design, equipment specification, and installation.
- Manage hydrogen reduction and furnacing operations to produce activated iron.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of pyrophoric materials to prevent air reactivity.
- Develop and optimize automated powder blending and dispensing systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external SMEs to ensure process success.
- Train junior engineers and hand off the process once stabilized.
- Support future chemical engineering projects at the facility.
- 3+ years of experience in Chemical/Process Engineering.
- Experience with pyrophoric materials.
- Working knowledge of activated metals.
- Hydrogen reduction process experience.
- Chemical and reactive testing experience.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably with pyrophoric materials or metal reduction.
- Proven experience in process scale-up, equipment commissioning, and production ramp-up.
- Familiarity with CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical safety, especially with reactive materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in government or defense-related chemical manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience in automated powder handling systems is advantageous.
