Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist with a Bachelor of Science degree who is eligible to sit for the ASCP MLS or BB BOC exam. This position is open to a temporary-to-permanent arrangement for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols and standards. Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including solid phase testing systems. Support testing and operations within large Blood Bank environments. Utilize laboratory information systems such as Cerner Millennium to document and track test results. Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards in the laboratory. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate test processing. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field. Eligibility to sit for the ASCP MLS or BB BOC certification exam. Experience working in a large Blood Bank preferred. Familiarity with Cerner Millennium laboratory information system is a plus. Knowledge and experience with solid phase testing techniques preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a large hospital or reference laboratory setting. Previous temp-to-perm work experience advantageous. Certifications: Eligibility to sit for ASCP MLS or BB BOC exam required. Certification preferred but not mandatory at the time of hire. Education: Bachelors Degree
