$81,900.00 - $134,550.00

Position Summary:

We are seeking acreative and driven R&D Immunoassay Scientistto lead the development ofnovel solutions and improvements to existing productsfor our automated microfluidic-based biomarker analysis platform. This role is ideal for a life sciences professional with a background in biology, who thrives in acollaborative, multidisciplinary environmentand is eager to push the boundaries of next-generation immunoassay technologies.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with biologists, engineers, and assay developers todesign and execute robust experimentsthat turn innovative ideas into tangible research outcomes. They will also serve as subject matter expert, supporting other teams in troubleshooting and enhancing current products. A strong ability tothink creatively, paired withrigorous experimental design and high execution standards, is essential for this role.

While a solid foundation in life sciences is required,experience or interest in surface chemistry, microfluidics, image processing, or programmingis a plus. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceive, design, and execute complex experiments aimed at developing novel immunoassay solutions and capabilities for the Simple Plex platform.

  • Evaluate novel technologies and provide recommendations.

  • Provide scientific leadership to further expand the commercial assay offering.

  • Function as an assay and technology subject-matter-expert to provide meaningful input for ongoing projects. Work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve goals.

  • Exercise judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Identify critical process improvements and lead implementation.

  • Be a self-motivated and self-directed individual who can accomplish objectives while managing competing priorities.

  • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook, as well as safety guidelines as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • PhD in the Life Sciences and up to 5 years of relevant experience or;

  • Masters degree in biological sciences (or a related field) + 8 years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience in developing and/or troubleshooting immunoassays (or related methods), preferably within an industry setting.

  • Deep understanding of immunoassay principles

  • Project management capabilities with excellent problem-solving ability and innate attention to detail

  • Good command of data analysis practices within the life-sciences domain and related software tools

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written

  • Background in one or more of the following disciplines is highly desirable: cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, surface chemistry.

  • Experience with automated ELISA platforms or microfluidics is a plus

  • Experience in programming (e.g. R, Python) and/or advanced statistical approaches is a plus.

  • Prior experience in leading technical teams and mentoring is a plus
