What You Will Achieve

  • As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and youll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will have the important role to generate high-quality diagnostic immunoassay data in a regulated Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) setting to support Pfizers vaccine programs according to Standard Operating Procedures. You will execute manual and automated diagnostic assays to support Pfizer clinical trials and epidemiological studies. In addition, you will also assist technology transfer and integration of new laboratory immunoassays into the cGLP space, support assay validation projects and monitor immunoassay lifecycle.

    Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, its principles and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge. How You Will Achieve It

  • Complete all necessary training to perform automated and manual assays
  • Perform job responsibilities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices/ Good Laboratory Practice (cGMP/GLP) and all other regulatory agency requirements
  • Perform the diagnostic immunological assays, both manual and automated, to support vaccine clinical development in a high-throughput setting
  • Assist in updating and writing documents associated with clinical diagnostic assays, including information/data archiving, Standard Operating Procedure and status reports
  • Assist in ordering supplies from internal inventory and prepare reagents/supplies necessary for assay work
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of freezer reagents such as controls, proficiency panels, toxins, reference standards etc.
  • Present progress on clinical and non-clinical projects to your immediate team and leadership
  • Collect and analyze data on a per project basis to support troubleshooting, reagent qualifications and other lab projects
  • Provide critical data review of clinical and non-clinical data
  • Stay current on all departmental and corporate training

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field with 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Laboratory experience in a relevant field of science in academia
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting bioassays designed to assess antibody functionality
  • Experience in performing automated immunoassays in a pharmaceutical setting
  • Knowledge of Luminex technology
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis
