What You’ll Get to Do
The Quality Control Technician is focused on testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to company standards, and ensure the products are market ready. The Quality Control Tech reports to the Quality Manager.
This role is perfect for an individual who has a strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively, and the capacity to work collaboratively to identify and resolve quality issues. A vital member of Quality Control , this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to complete re-work
- Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
- Perform inspections across all stages of production
- Prepare and maintain test data for review
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
- Work towards continuously improving workplace organization, safety, quality, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
