Job Description We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform a variety of testing procedures in a production lab setting. The role involves conducting wet chemistry tests, GC testing, viscosity, and color testing to ensure the final product quality. This position requires following established methods to test and release final products without involving development testing. Familiarity with concentrated chemicals is preferred but not mandatory, as cross-training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform wet chemistry testing, gas chromatography (GC) testing, viscosity, LOH, specific gravity, and melting point analyses.
- Conduct testing on three different product lines: rubber tire additives, chlorine-based products, and oil additives.
- Enter samples and test results into Sample Manager, with final results being recorded in SAP.
- Participate in cross-training to handle all products and testing methods.
- Maintain accuracy, especially when handling sulfur-based oil additives.
- Bachelor's Degree or 1-3 years of lab experience in any industry, including pharma and chemical.
- Proficiency in running GC and performing basic wet chemistry tests and titrations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and learn new testing procedures.
- Exposure to analytical chemistry and quality control processes.
- Experience in a lab environment, preferably with a background in the chemical industry.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic and versatile lab setting.
