Job Summary The Chemist position within our client company involves executing projects related to the research, development, and testing of new OTC Drug or Cosmetic products, technologies, packaging, and product improvements. The Chemist will work with minimal guidance to incorporate technical, regulatory, competitive, cost, and operational considerations to support successful product organization. The role requires substantial product development experience and knowledge. Key Responsibilities Formulate and scale up a variety of formulation types. Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, procedures, results, and data analysis. Collaborate with internal/external partners involved with clinical testing, claims substantiation, and formulation development. Apply brand concepts and consumer product trends during product development. Proficiently handle raw materials and analyze sensory test data for formulation development. Understand regulatory requirements and apply them to product development. Suggest solutions for raw material issues with vendors. Keep up with new industry trends. Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline with relevant experience in cosmetics or pharmaceutical OTC industry. Proficiency with computers, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong communication skills for interactions with colleagues and project managers. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize project work efficiently. Additional Requirements Ability to work a modified work shift as needed by the department. Travel, up to 5%, based on business needs.
