A growing medical technology company located in Santa Fe Springs, CA, is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician to join their Quality team. This is a hands-on, lab-based role supporting the sterility assurance and environmental monitoring programs for regulated products, including in-house manufactured devices. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity, targeting an hourly rate of between $23-26/hr.
You'll contribute to routine testing, equipment calibration, sample preparation, and documentation that ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards. If you have experience with endotoxin or bioburden testing in a GMP or ISO-compliant setting, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Bioburden and Endotoxin (LAL/BET) testing
Operate autoclaves and assist with sterilization cycles (EO/gamma)
Conduct Environmental Monitoring (viable and non-viable) of controlled environments
Perform physical and chemical testing (TOC, pH, OD, osmolality, viscosity)
Carry out QC on batch-mixed chemical solutions and passivation processes
Prepare test samples and documentation for external lab testing
Maintain equipment calibration and laboratory logs
Perform packaging integrity and seal strength tests
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related life sciences field
2-3 years of hands-on lab experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharma, or similar)
Familiar with endotoxin testing (LAL/BET), EM, and cleanroom protocols
Comfortable mixing and handling chemicals used in production processes
Proficient in lab documentation and following SOPs
