Our Analytical team is currently seeking a Scientist II.

In this role, you will collaborate with other members within the lab to provide analytical chemistry services to Research & Development labs, Corporate Quality groups, Regulatory and Manufacturing. You will be responsible for issuing regular analytical project status reports and written reports upon completion of projects. The Analytical Scientist II will develop and establish in-house analytical testing and characterization capabilities for coatings and raw materials. The Scientist II job is an exciting chance to join a team that promotes and recognizes innovation. Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing on requests from corporate R&D, QA/QC, Regulatory and Manufacturing
  • Conduct wet chemistry and instrumental analysis of coatings products and raw materials
  • Collaborate with R&D laboratories in basic and applied research, provide analytical testing results and interpretation
  • Research scientific literature and use the information to investigate and develop analytical methodologies
  • Work on expanding analytical testing and characterization capabilities
  • Draft and issue analytical reports
  • Maintain lab equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • PhD preferred with 0-5 years working experience in analytical chemistry or related field; MS with 5+ years; BS with 10+ years
  • Broad knowledge of analytical chemistry and hands-on experience with analytical and material characterization methods and instrumentation, i.e., HPLC/ MS, GC/ MS, UV, FTIR, TEM, SEM, DSC and GPC
  • Demonstrated abilities in developing analytical methods and validating testing procedures
  • Strong instrumentation skills, including analytical instrument set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range USD $127,300.00 - USD $162,900.00 /Yr.
