Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a contract Scientist for our partner in San Diego, CA.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $30 and $31. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Summarized Purpose:

Possesses a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conductplex analysis with increased independence. Performs a variety ofplex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceuticalpounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices. Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision. Responsible for review andpilation of results and dataparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications. Enters data into databases and reports. Performs self review for own data prior to QC submission.

Essential Functions:

Execute a variety of cell-based assays to support early lead discovery programs using automation tools.

Execute assays that are primary screens designed to identify leads and to support MedChem to identify clinical candidates.

Effectively collate and interpret data systematically and make rmendations for next steps

Clearly and effectivelymunicate ideas and results (both verbally and in writing) to a broad range of audiences.

Identify areas for streamlining workflows w warranted

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or similar

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job parable to 2+ years).

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of abination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with executing and analyzing data from high-throughput assays

Experience with liquid handling equipment and general plate handling automation preferred

Demonstrated experience in the use of automation and HTS instrumentation

Proficient in strong data analysis skills,puter skills and the ability to draw conclusions andmunicate results from large data sets

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to multitask and follow directions

Critical thinking and the ability to learn and troubleshooting techniques for automation is key

Demonstrated stronganization,munication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service

Must be flexible and responsive to changing priorities

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Ability and willingness to work rotating weekend shifts according to business needs

Must have a high aptitude formonputer programs (e.g. MS Office), in addition to beingfortable in learning new software and hardware systems

Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed work environment

Comments

This client wants someone who is able to work overtime when necessary. Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Fully onsite.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $31.00 per hour
