Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Scientist (R2-R4) to develop nucleic acid-based formulations across various scales and for characterization using both routine and advanced analytical methods. Design, implement, and troubleshoot experiments to reach desired goals. Support formulation efforts for delivery of nucleic acids, including optimization and characterization to provide high quality, well-characterized drug products for in vitro and in vivo evaluation. Conduct experiments, optimize existing formulation methods, and generate standard operating procedures. Communicate research and development findings with internal and external partners. Work with cross-functional teams to support process transfer, scale-up, and troubleshoot process issues. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Masters degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related scientific field and 2 years of academic or employment experience with analytical techniques for nanoparticle formulation and characterizations. Academic or employment experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with preparation of nanoparticle-based formulations sufficient to support in vitro and in vivo studies; 2 years of experience with researching nucleic acid formulation, characterization, and wet lab biology techniques; 2 years of experience with various mixing equipment and various buffer exchange techniques; 2 years of experience in Lipid nanoparticle characterization techniques; and 2 years of experience preparing, reviewing, and revising SOPs and protocols. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. #LI-DNI

Actual compensation will depend on a candidates education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$106,701Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
