The Process Engineer I in Technology Sustainment is responsible for existing process monitoring and improvement, particularly for VAVE projects.

This position reports to the Manager of Operational Process Engineering and is part of the Operational Process Engineering - M&M Team located in Coralville, Iowa and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Monitor, trend, analyze, and improve process KPIs and existing monitoring
• Assist in defining processes using Process Capability, Methods, and Standard Work
• Provide engineering analysis and documentation to support process deployment into manufacturing and VAVE initiatives
• Conduct manufacturing and project reviews through preparation of, but not limited to, Process Maps, FMEA, and Risk-Mitigation Plans
• Support in solving technical issues, delays in production, and VAVE initiatives by driving to root cause through design of experiments and working cross functionally with other teams in the organization
• Other duties as assigned

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or related field
• Basic analysis or statistics experience
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PSP, DMAIC, or similar problem-solving methodology
• Ability to review, evaluate, and guide cross-functional projects

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• CRISPR, NGS, qPCR, or other biological assays involving oligos; Benchtop laboratory or lab automation experience
• JMP software data analysis
• Ability to develop and sustain productive work relationships with support groups and internal stakeholders
