And we will be 100% committed to helping you reach your full potential.Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Manager, Laboratory, CRS is responsible for the direction and management of a team of technicians, chemists, and/or engineers who perform testing services to determine the performance, chemical and/or physical composition of consumer products.Job FunctionsResponsible forlaboratory operation; manages production, distribution and marketing operationsHas full supervisory responsibility of employees, both direct and indirect reports (hiring: interviewing, selection; planning work, scheduling, performance evaluations, performance management and termination for employees).Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports, and indirect reports, as applicable.Schedules work flow through the department so that client deadlines are met in a timely fashion; monitors throughput and performance.Determines the priority status of all samples in each day's lab batch and ensures the expedited processing of samples to meet client's requirements.Trains all new laboratory technicians and reinforces their training with copies of applicable standards, specifically ISO 17025 and customer specific protocols.Develops, writes, reviews, performs and validates test methods, laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other department level operating and quality documents. Reviews and signs data sheets and reports.Develops, reviews, submits and files reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation and other projects.Ensures each person within their responsibility has undergone an orientation and has sufficient knowledge for their safety and health while at work.Ensures that each person has sufficient information, resources and materials to do their job safely.Responsible for enforcing all safety rules and regulations. This applies to all persons employed at the branch as well as anyone visiting or passing through the affected areas.Develops and maintains maintenance schedules for all equipment located in the laboratory.Responsible for purchasing all laboratory equipment and supplies. A written list of all items required will be developed and reviewed with the branch manager prior to purchase.
