Research Associate I, 19.99 hr (Microbiology And Immunology - Galveston)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.

Job Description:

Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.

Job Duties:

• Performs routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI of the laboratory.
• Maintains inventory of all laboratory supplies related to research, documentation of research data, update chemical and lab inventory.
• Lab ordering related to ongoing projects, annual inspection.
• Perform biological assays and conduct quantitative and qualitative assays (examples: Imaging, immunohistochemistry, histology, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, cell culture, animal studies, statistical analysis, data management etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, and basic managing skills.
• Good with computer software , and some experience in big data analysis.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
