Medical Laboratory Scientist - Full Time Day Shift

General Summary of Position

Performs a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures in the blood back section of the clinical laboratory. Evaluates and reports results for use in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Working hours for this role is Monday - Friday from 6am -230pm, working every 4th weekend from 7am -330pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology required or
• a related science, required or
• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required or
• a related science (or equivalent: 60 semester hrs including 24 semester hrs of medical lab technology, required or
• related science (or equivalent: 60 semester hrs including 24 semester hrs of medical lab technology, or 60 semester hrs including 24 hrs of science that includes 6 hrs chemistry, 6 hrs biology and 12 hrs chemistry, biology, or medical lab tech in any combination plus laboratory training that includes either completion of a clinical lab training program or 3 months training in each specialty in which high complexity testing is performed). required or
• For Pathology - Associates Lab: If an Associate's degree, will require 5 years progressively responsible clinical laboratory experience with demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the medical technologist position. required

Licenses and Certifications

• ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologist ASCP preferred or
• equivalent certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52
