Job Description:

  • Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks.

  • Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner.

  • Document the experimentation per the regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills and should possess understanding of core discipline.

  • Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.

  • Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks.

  • Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high-quality precise data.

  • Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems.

  • Presents findings of defined experiments to larger audiences.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or master's degree with minimum 2 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred).

  • Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Openlab, Chromeleon).

  • Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP.

  • Able to present experimental findings to larger groups.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of presentations/publications

  • Familiarity of GMP and GLP and/or understanding of working in regulated environment

  • Able to present findings to larger groups.

  • Strong background in chemistry fundamentals.

  • Experienced with and strong working knowledge of above instruments, with demonstrated strong lab skills.

  • May have publications, or experience in presentation of findings to scientific organizations. (preferred but not required)

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
