Physical Requirements:Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders upto 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy
Shift:Primarily Days Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends are possible due to experimentation.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in mammalian tissue culture techniques, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality, contamination-free cell lines for experimental use.
They will possess expertise in a broad range of molecular biology methods, including Western blotting for protein detection and quantification, and RNA sequencing for transcriptomic analysis. A strong working knowledge of live-cell imaging methodologies is essential, including experience in the operation and maintenance of fluorescence and/or confocal microscopy systems, as well as the ability to perform accurate image acquisition and subsequent quantitative analysis.
The successful candidate will be expected to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently, maintain meticulous records, and adhere to rigorous standards of reproducibility and data integrity.
Mouse care/breeding/dissections, cell dissociation, RNA isolation, recombinant DNA techniques, cell biology, cell culture, Microsoft Excel, organizational skills, attention to detail, writing skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:Terminal degree (PhD) in a science related field and multiple years of successful independent work history.
