As our brain tumor drug development lab grows in breadth of exciting projects, we are interested in onboarding an individual who is excited to contribute significantly to carrying out the many pre-clinical xenograft studies active and planned. The main duties for this position involve animal experiments as relates to the daily operations of drug development projects such as performing tumor xenograft implantations and administration of investigational therapeutics, as well as basic lab maintenance duties as needed. The Staff Research Associate will carry out mouse procedures such as survival surgeries (e.g., tumor implantations to create xenograft models) and drug administration (intraperitoneal, intravenous, oral gavage). They will also prepare buffers, chemical agents, and other solutions as defined by specific research protocols.
Hourly range: $26.52-$31.63

Required:
- Basic understanding of biology
- Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis
- Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc.
- Skilled at working with spreadsheets, databases, and email; Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed
- Ability to keep laboratory space clean, safe and organized
Preferred:
- B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field.
