EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis Air Sample Prep, Bulk Sample Prep, Dust, Water, Soil

Assist with cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Use balances, HEPA filtered fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples

Cross train and/or assist in other departments if needed to meet business demands

Other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Requirements:

Minimum requirement is High School diploma or equivalent

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus

Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis

Able to stand for various lengths of time

Work independently and with a team

Work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments

Good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills

Ability to lift up to 25lbs

Available Shifts:

Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
