The Concrete Technician will be responsible for conducting tests, ensuring the quality of concrete materials, and supporting concrete-related operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of concrete testing, mix designs, and quality control processes. The position will office out of Fort Lauderdale, but require travel throughout our Florida region. Key Responsibilities : Perform concrete mix designs, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards. Conduct various laboratory tests on fresh and hardened concrete, including slump tests, air content tests, compression tests, and more. Monitor and inspect the quality of concrete delivered to construction sites. Collect and analyze data to ensure that concrete materials meet project requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed records of test results, material certifications, and compliance documents. Provide recommendations for adjustments to mix designs or procedures to improve quality or meet specific project needs. Ensure proper handling, curing, and storage of concrete samples for testing. Assist in troubleshooting concrete-related issues and provide solutions to construction teams. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on job sites. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and quality standards. Qualifications : A degree in civil engineering, material science, or chemistry. Certification in concrete technology or a related field (e.g., ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician) is preferred. Proven experience in concrete testing, quality control, or a related role. Knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, and testing methods. Ability to operate concrete testing equipment and instruments accurately. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license.
