Materials Engineer

Job Description:
Conduct mechanical testing and characterization of materials for performance assessment.
Model and implement design of experiments specifically for hydrogen storage technologies.
Design proprietary materials in collaboration with industrial partners.
Deliver technical presentations to communicate research findings and project progress.
Develop quality control (QA/QC) protocols for externally sourced components to ensure consistency and reliability.
Collaborate closely with external vendors to procure high-quality custom components.
Work within a highly collaborative team of physicists, chemists, materials scientists, engineers, and technicians.

Job Requirements:
Requirements:
-Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, or a closely related field.
-Knowledge of Mechanical Properties of Materials, Electron Microscopy, Thermodynamics, Microstructure and Properties of Materials, Current Developments of Ferrous Alloys, and Strengthening Mechanisms.
-Proficient in mechanical testing, metallography, technical drawings, technical analysis, technical writing, and technical presentations
