Respiratory Therapist

Full-Time | Night Shift Position

MLR is partnering with a respected healthcare system to recruit a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, night shift position. This role involves a rotating schedule, working every other weekend, and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care.

Job Summary:

  • Full-time, permanent, direct hire position.
  • Assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory and breathing disorders.
  • Take primary responsibility for respiratory care procedures and treatments.
  • Supervise and mentor respiratory therapy students and new graduates.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and operate respiratory care equipment.
  • Ensure proper assembly, inspection, and functioning of respiratory therapy equipment.

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Registry-Level Respiratory Care Program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • State of Texas licensure in Respiratory Care.
  • Active status with the NBRC under the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
  • Graduate therapists must obtain CRT credentials and then RRT credentials within one year of graduation. Failure to do so will result in reassignment as a Respiratory Care Practitioner until achieved.
  • BLS certification required before patient contact.
  • ACLS certification to be completed within six months of hire.
  • ENPC or PALS certification to be completed within one year of hire.
  • NRP certification to be completed within one year of hire.
