Job Description
Job Description The Quality Control Chemist will perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, along with wastewater sampling and adjustments. The role requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the ability to perform triplicate assessments on testing procedures. Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct while conducting company business.
- Conduct in-process and finished product testing on products.
- Accurately complete laboratory records and documentation following good documentation practices.
- Communicate with the Shift Production Supervisor regarding in-process batch adjustments based on analytical test results.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area and notify colleagues when consumables need to be ordered.
- Ensure an orderly workplace.
- Effectively communicate within the Quality Control team and with other business units and customers.
- Understanding and adherence to SHE standards within the laboratory and facility.
- Effective communication and relation skills with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently while adjusting to production priorities.
- Capacity for walking and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheet programs.
- Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- 5+ years of previous work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a science discipline, preferably Chemistry.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as GC, LC, FTIR, and techniques like titration and liquid-liquid partition.
- Previous laboratory experience.
- Self-motivated and well-organized individual.
