responsibilities:
Routinely sample cell culture experiments across various scales, from shake flasks to bench-top bioreactors, ensuring timely and accurate sample collection.
Set up and take down bioreactors before and after experiments, including necessary connections and disconnections.
Perform daily bioreactor sampling and meticulously record all collected data into the appropriate systems.
Actively participate in maintaining the laboratory's functionality by stocking supplies, organizing materials, and managing the inventory of disposal items.
Assist in the preparation of small batches of essential laboratory solutions, such as media and buffer solutions (up to 10L).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, including common equipment and shared lab areas.
qualifications:
Required Skills:
Associate's degree in Biology or a related Life Science field.
Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience (preferably in a professional setting versus academic).
Demonstrated experience with cell culture techniques.
Proficiency in sterile techniques.
Experience operating standard laboratory equipment.
Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and terminology.
Ability to perform standard algebraic calculations for lab work.
Must be local to the site in Framingham, MA.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with bioreactors.
Basic understanding of dimensional analysis.
Experience with preparing media and buffer solutions.
Familiarity with handling hazardous materials.
Demonstrated ability to operate and care for laboratory equipment.
