Chemical Engineering Representative

A Chemical Engineering Representative is needed for an engineering consulting company needs to be in the Boise, ID area, but can work remote. This role serves as a Chemical Engineering Owner's Representative responsible for overseeing the design, review, and implementation of complex chemical and mechanical systems in advanced manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and construction requirements.

responsibilities:

Serve as the Chemical Engineering Owner's Representative for facilities projects

Work on behalf of the client to:

Review designs, specifications, and drawings

Provide feedback and comments

Interface with client and site personnel

Lead review processes for design and construction documents

Collaborate with internal and external teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for:

Complex manufacturing tools

Facilities infrastructure mechanical systems

Technical Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee piping systems for:
  
  
• Equipment water
  
  
• Wastewater
  
  
• Process chemicals and gases
  
  

Work on retrofit projects in complex industrial facilities

Conduct engineering calculations and size/select components

Support construction and factory integration

Edit client specifications

Review P&IDs, layout drawings, equipment plans, and details

Review submittals, RFIs, and other construction documents

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  
  
• Minimum 7 years of experience in chemical facilities engineering, including:
  
  
• Ultrapure water systems
  
  
• Chemical and gas distribution
  
  
• Process piping and exhaust
  
  
• Plumbing and waste systems
  
  
• Pumps and tank storage/design
  
  

At least 5 years of experience in design project delivery processes

strong verbal and written communication skills

strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools (manufacture, installation, or cleanroom use)
  
  
• Proficient with AutoCAD software
