In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a technical resource for Operations, applying expertise to optimize plant operations, troubleshoot issues, and produce cost-effective, high-quality products safely and sustainably.
  • Master process technology, equipment, and control systems, working collaboratively with technical advising teams and plant personnel to meet business and operational goals related to production, cost, and quality.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, coaching team members to develop their skills.
  • Implement best practices in operations to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Execute tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager, supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to maximize asset utilization and ensure low-cost, high-quality output.
  • Earn Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications to enhance process excellence.
  • Update and refine plant operating procedures in collaboration with production technicians to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintain accurate plant mass balances and recipes for all products.
  • Facilitate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities to ensure compliance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and teams across the site and globally to leverage knowledge and improve plant operations.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to plant personnel, technical centers, and leadership.
  • Lead or participate in teams focused on safety, quality, and operational improvements.
  • Engage in plant startups, PSSR, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2+ years of experience in a production facility

WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
  • 5+ years in a chemical process environment, with exposure to construction practices and supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude or hobbies involving mechanical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams from maintenance to operations
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Honeywell Operating System, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Minitab, SAP, Lotus Notes is a plus
  • Programming knowledge in Visual Basic/VBA is an asset
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards is a plus
