Sr Scientist

Job Description

The Senior Scientist (Scientist III) will be a key member of our innovative team, focusing on identifying impurities in drug delivery product systems and packaging materials. The role involves running controlled extraction studies utilizing GCMS and high-resolution platforms. The majority of your day will be spent on the bench, setting up and analyzing extractions, designing projects, communicating with clients, and performing risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Run controlled extraction studies using GCMS and high-resolution platforms.
  • Set up and analyze extractions.
  • Design projects related to impurity identification in drug delivery systems and packaging materials.
  • Communicate findings and project progress with clients.
  • Perform risk management tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of PhD, but must have experience in designing and running multiple experiments repeatedly.
  • PhD with Post Doc experience using GCMS and 2+ years of experience with high-resolution platforms.
  • Experience in extractables, leachables, and mass spectrometry are preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP, and Orbitrap, or Triple Quad area plus.
Work Environment

This role operates in a laboratory environment equipped with GCMS and Mass Spectrometry equipment. The position follows a 1st shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm core hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $38.46/hr.
