Job Description

Eurofins CEI, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The Analyst will use polarized light microscopes (PLM) for asbestos analysis.

PLM Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform sample login as needed

Examine bulk samples under stereoscope and make visual observations

Prep samples for PLM (polarized light microscopy) examination according to regulations

Record all optical properties per NVLAP requirements

Provide asbestos identification and quantification

Perform QC analysis and review reports

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Performs other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess:

Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

Strong computer, scientific, organizational and problem-solving skills

Effective communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Handle moderate stress

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Biology or other sciences preferred

Ability to differentiate between colors

Additional Information

Requirements:

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Position is full-time Monday - Friday day shift. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fort Mill, SC are encouraged to apply.

Pay range: $18-20/hr.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
