Role Overview: This Process Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing plant operations, supporting daily production, leading process improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in a chemical manufacturing or petrochemical environment and be ready to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and improve plant performance through process optimization and troubleshooting Support daily operations, identify bottlenecks, and drive efficiency improvements Develop and execute process modifications, equipment changes, and cost-reduction initiatives Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, PSM) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including EHS, maintenance, and R D Participate in hazard reviews (PHA), MOC processes, and capital project support Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials What They're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (required) 3-7+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or petrochemical environment Familiarity with unit operations like distillation, reactors, heat exchangers, etc. Knowledge of process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis techniques Understanding of process safety (PSM), MOC, and environmental compliance Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Nice to Have: Experience with continuous and batch operations Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement certifications Exposure to DCS/PLC systems and process automation Compensation & Benefits: Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience Annual performance bonus potential Comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, holidays, and professional development support
